A traditional calendar does a simple enough job – it shows you what date it is. A calendar for your desktop computer can do a bit more. Besides telling you what date it is it could also let you schedule reminders and alarms, or it could let you schedule certain tasks – like shutting down the computer. The Insight Calendar application is a calendar for your desktop PC, but it does none of those things.

It does something else instead – it shows you the best days for what you want to do. Insight Calendar is not a regular calendar, it is an astrology calendar. After you feed Insight Calendar a few details about yourself, like your name, birth data and birth time, it will be able to tell you if a specific day is right for a specific activity.

You can select from a long list of activities, such as Work, Home Matters, Money Matters or Social Events. Each time you select an activity, you will notice that the calendar’s looks chances. This is because Insight Calendar uses color coding to show if a day is right for that activity. The best days for a specific activity are show in green; the worst days are shown in red. Click on a specific day and you will see a more detailed explanation why that day is good or bad for that specific activity.

Download – the download weighs in at little over 8MB. On a high-speed internet connection it should only take a moment for the download to complete.
Installation – at the time of writing this Insight Calendar provides support only for Windows XP.
Limitations – there are no limitations. You can use Insight Calendar free of charge for as long as you want.
